International Tax Director

Pure Search are partnered with a multinational business looking to hire an International Tax Director to manage the direct tax team in London.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the European direct tax function, setting the regional tax strategy while managing, mentoring and developing a team of tax professionals and partnering closely with senior finance and business stakeholders.
• Own the European Pillar Two agenda, including implementation of the OECD global minimum tax rules, ongoing compliance, reporting and assessment of legislative developments across relevant jurisdictions.
• Oversee tax accounting and reporting, including tax provisioning under US GAAP, IFRS and local GAAP, alongside responsibility for tax governance, controls and the management of tax risk across Europe.
• Provide strategic tax input on transactions and business initiatives, including M&A, restructurings and cross-border arrangements, advising on tax implications and appropriate international structuring.
• Manage the European tax compliance and controversy landscape, overseeing audits and enquiries, coordinating external advisers and local finance teams, and ensuring the business responds effectively to changes in international and European tax legislation.

Requirements:

• Broad Direct tax experience with coverage of EMEA
• Large and/or listed multinational experience
• Experience managing direct reports
• US GAAP and local GAAP experience
• Ability to come into the London office 3+ days a week
• No visa sponsorship required

This is a full-time role based in the Central London office minimum 3 days per week, paying up to £150k + bonus.
