HGV Class 2 Driver

Location: Burton upon Trent
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour, depending on experience

Workchain are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to work with our client based in Burton upon Trent.

This is a great opportunity for a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Driver looking for temporary driving work with the potential for ongoing assignments.

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your main responsibility will be the safe and efficient delivery of goods to customers across Burton upon Trent and the surrounding areas.

Duties will include:

• Safely operating an HGV Class 2 vehicle
• Completing local and regional deliveries
• Carrying out vehicle checks before and after shifts
• Ensuring goods are transported safely and securely
• Completing delivery paperwork and relevant documentation
• Following planned delivery routes and schedules
• Liaising professionally with customers at delivery locations
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and on time
• Complying with all road safety regulations and company procedures
• Reporting any vehicle defects or issues to the appropriate person
• Maintaining a professional attitude while representing the company

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need:

• A valid HGV Class 2 / Cat C licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience driving HGV Class 2 vehicles
• A good understanding of drivers' hours and road transport regulations
• A safe and responsible approach to driving
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliability and good timekeeping
• The ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively

Previous experience in a similar delivery or distribution role would be advantageous.

Pay & Benefits
