About the Role

Torva Europe UK Ltd is looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Category C (Class 2) Driver to join our growing operation in Coalville.

The role involves the collection and transportation of animal by-products, including meat by-products, between suppliers and our Coalville facility. Due to the nature of the materials being transported, we are looking for someone who is comfortable working within this environment and understands the importance of hygiene, safety, and compliance.

The successful candidate will be an experienced professional driver with a good knowledge of UK roads and transport regulations. Ideally, you will live in Coalville or the surrounding area to ensure a reliable commute to the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Company vehicles safely and professionally for the collection and transportation of animal and meat by-products.
• Carry out collections from suppliers and deliver materials to the Coalville facility.
• Ensure all loads are transported safely, securely, and in accordance with Company procedures and applicable regulations.
• Complete all required delivery, collection, and transport documentation accurately.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and maintained to the required hygiene standards.
• Assist with loading and unloading where required.
• Follow all site-specific hygiene, biosecurity, Health & Safety, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain professional and courteous relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Report delays, incidents, accidents, or operational issues promptly to management.
• Carry out other reasonable driving and operational duties as required.

Requirements

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence essential.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous professional HGV driving experience.
• Good understanding of UK road transport and drivers hours requirements.
• A safe and responsible driving record.
• Comfortable transporting animal and meat by-products.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Good communication skills and basic English.
• Physically capable of assisting with loading and unloading where required.
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
• Ideally based in Coalville, Leicestershire, or within a reasonable commuting distance.

Previous experience transporting meat products, animal by-products, food products, agricultural materials, chilled goods, or similar loads would be a strong advantage.
