HGV Class 2 Driver - Livingston

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Livingston on a full-time ongoing basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering consistent weekday work, excellent rates of pay, and ongoing opportunities with a reputable transport operation. No handballing is involved, with loads removed using an electric pallet truck and tail lift.

This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £16.00 per hour
• Weekly pay

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 07:00 - 18:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an HGV Class 2 Driver are:

• Delivering palletised goods to customers throughout the local area
• Completing approximately 14 drops per day
• Carrying out kerbside deliveries
• Using tail lifts and forklift unloading facilities at delivery points
• Operating an electric pallet truck safely and efficiently
• Completing vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
• Providing excellent customer service at all delivery locations
• Adhering to all transport legislation and company procedures

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A minimum of six months' HGV Class 2 driving experience
• A reliable and punctual approach to work
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A good understanding of driver regulations and tachograph legislation

Training:

• Industry-related training
• Ongoing support throughout your assignment
