£40,000 basic, with realistic OTE potential of up to £10,000 as you build into the role (circa £50,000 once established)

You know the type of role we mean. You're good at what you do. You bring in the business, you look after your accounts, and you're the one the newer starters ask when they're stuck. And yet the org chart never moves. Someone else always gets the nod for the next step up, usually brought in from outside, while you're still doing exactly what you were doing three years ago, just better at it.

This is a genuine way out of that. A well established, multi branch trade merchant business is bringing in an Internal Sales Team Leader, also referred to internally as Internal Sales Manager, for its Edinburgh operation, and this one comes with real authority attached from day one. Not a watered down \"senior\" title with none of the power that should come with it. You'll run your own portfolio of contractor and housebuilder accounts across the East of Scotland patch, roughly half new business and half accounts you'll grow, with genuine pricing and commercial decision making in your hands. Alongside that, you'll lead and mentor a small internal sales team, and when the branch manager is out, you're the one holding it together. That's not a training exercise. That's the job.

If you've been doing this for a while in a merchant, trade counter, or builders' merchant environment, and you already know the products, the customers, and how a busy trade counter actually runs, this is built around you specifically. We're not after someone who needs the basics taught. We're after someone who has outgrown the seat they're in and just needs someone to hand them the next rung.

£40,000 basic, realistic OTE potential of up to £10,000 as you establish yourself, Monday to Friday with no weekend working, and a route into a role most people in this trade spend years waiting for and never get offered.
