You don't need previous experience to become an excellent Care Assistant our client is looking for people who are naturally:

• Compassionate and patient
• Reliable and respectful
• Positive, and willing to learn

Everything else is covered by their comprehensive training programme.

Your role

You'll provide person-centred care that helps people stay independent and comfortable in their own homes. No two visits are the same, so your day-to-day will be varied and directly meaningful. Typical duties include:

• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Assisting with personal care
• Helping prepare meals
• Supporting with medication (full training given)
• Light household duties
• Shopping and collecting prescriptions
• Encouraging independence and confidence
• Building trusted relationships with the people you support

What you'll need

• A caring, compassionate and patient nature
• Good communication skills
• Reliability and a professional approach
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential, as the role involves travelling between clients)
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (and confirm right to work in the UK standard for all care roles; adjust or remove if not applicable)
