HGV Taskforce DriverUK-wide | £21.44£24.57 per hour | Temporary Christmas contractPertemps is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to support Royal Mail during its busy Christmas period.

This opportunity is ideal for flexible, professional drivers willing to temporarily relocate for 610 weeks . Youll transport mail and parcels between Royal Mail sites, working to scheduled delivery times while maintaining high safety standards.

Whats included? PAYE rates of £21.44£24.57 per hour , depending on location and start time Minimum eight-hour shiftsRota based on five shifts across seven daysA sixth shift may be available where legally permittedPaid hotel accommodation , including breakfast and one meal each day£15 daily subsistence allowance , paid seven days a week (£105 per week)£240 weekly relocation payment , accrued and paid at the end of the assignment*Mileage paid at 45p per mile for one return journey between your UK home address and allocated hotelHoliday pay accruedAssignment datesPhased start dates begin on Monday 2 November 2026 , with assignments running until Monday 4 January 2027 .Depending on your allocation, the assignment will last between six and ten weeks . Youll need to arrive at your accommodation during the weekend before your start date for introductions and a briefing.

This is a peak-period role, so you must be available to work: Weekends Christmas EveBoxing DayNew Years EveNew Years DayWhat youll needA full UK driving licence HGV Class 1 / LGV C+E entitlement held for at least 12 monthsAt least 80 days Class 1 driving experience within the past six monthsCurrent Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph cardsNo more than six penalty pointsNo IN, DD, CD or DR endorsementsFlexibility to work all allocated shifts throughout the assignmentAbility to work on a PAYE basisBefore joining the project, youll need to complete security clearance, a tachograph download and a driving assessment. Depending on your infringement history, you may also need to attend a two-hour Working Time Directive refresher course, which will be paid once you begin the assignment.
