Design Manager - High-Rise Residential

Fawkes & Reece are working with a leading main contractor who are looking to appoint a Design Manager to join their team on a major London development.

This is a large-scale, technically complex scheme involving multiple structures and a challenging urban environment, offering excellent exposure to a high-value project from pre-construction through to delivery.

We’re looking for a Design Manager with strong experience working on large-scale residential, student accommodation, mixed-use or high-rise projects, ideally with a background in RC frame construction and complex design coordination.

The role will involve managing the design process, coordinating consultants and subcontractors, driving technical solutions and ensuring designs are fully coordinated and deliverable on site.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Main contractor Design Management experience
• Experience on large-scale / high-value projects
• Strong RC frame and structural coordination experience
• Excellent consultant and subcontractor management skills
• Strong understanding of technical design and buildability
• Experience working on complex London schemes
