- West Bromwich People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in West Bromwich, West Midlands .

This role would suit candidates with experience as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driverr or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay: £17.20 per hour (basic rate) £20.00 per hour after 20:00 (Monday to Saturday) £22.00 per hour (Sunday) £31.73 per hour (Bank Holidays) Minimum 9.75 hours paid per day Shift Pattern: Thursday to Monday Weekend work required Start times between 03:00 and 04:00 Benefits: Your benefits as an HGV Class 1 Driver are: Excellent hourly rates Weekly pay Ongoing work On-site canteen Training provided Immediate starts available Employee wellbeing programme

Day-to-Day Duties: As an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will work: Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently Completing RDC and store deliveries Delivering cages to distribution centres and supermarkets Completing up to two drops per shift Carrying out pre-use and post-use vehicle inspections Ensuring loads are correctly loaded and secured Complying with Driver Hours Regulations, the Working Time Directive, and UK road traffic legislation Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance issues promptly Assisting with loading and unloading duties where required

Essential Skills: To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need: A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence A minimum of twelve months' Category CE driving experience A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card A valid Digital Tachograph Card No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes A good standard of spoken and written English Excellent xohmjla timekeeping and reliability A good understanding of road transport legislation Strong communication skills

Training: Driver assessment required before commencement Paid induction provided Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Previous commercial driving experience would be advantageous Previous multi-drop delivery experience would be beneficial
