Design Automation Engineer

Job description

We’re recruiting for an Automation Design Engineer to join an established international business specialising in warehouse automation and intralogistics solutions.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer with experience in automation, material handling or logistics systems to join a growing team and work on a range of customer-focused automation projects, from initial requirements through to detailed technical design.

The Role:

• Developing automation solutions for intralogistics projects.
• Analysing customer requirements, data and logistics processes.
• Designing and calculating materials, capacities and productivity.
• Producing detailed technical drawings for material handling systems.
• Preparing high-detail technical quotations.
• Carrying out statistical and productivity calculations.
• Supporting the development of automated warehouse solutions.

What We're Looking For:

• Degree or background in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar engineering/design role.
• Strong knowledge of automation, material handling processes and technologies.
• Advanced AutoCAD skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience using probability and statistics tools, such as Python or R.
• Advanced knowledge of statistics.
• Experience with rendering and animation applications.
• Knowledge of industrial process simulation.
