HGV Class 2 Day Driver

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to work with our clients across the area. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.

PAYRATE £16.50 PER HOUR PAYE + HOLIDAY ACCRUED ON TOP

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads appropriately.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence with appropriate endorsements for commercial driving.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with flatbed lorries.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in driving.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Good physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks as required.
