We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our clients busy team based in Thatcham. Our client is the leading processor and recycler of WEEE waste in the UK for over 35 years.

ResponsibilitiesSafely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, including flatbed trucks, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policiesCollect, deliver and exchange RO-RO bins, travelling between our clients and our 3 operational sitesFollowing driving routes provided by our Transport DepartmentConduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects to the Transport Manager immediatelyTo complete all paperwork accurately in a timely mannerParking of all vehicles at the end of everydayMaking sure the cab of your lorry is always clean and tidyKeep in regular contact with the transport manager, yard managers and weighbridge operators at each siteMaintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with clients and colleaguesExperienceClass 1 Driving Licence (Minimum 2 years)Must hold a Drivers CPC LicenceRO-RO (Wagon & Drag) experience an advantage, but training can be given to the right candidateYou must have good problem-solving skillsEffective communication, both orally and in writing, is essentialYou will also have an excellent phone mannerYou must always look presentable as the role is customer facingFluent English is requiredTemp to Perm Role, Permanent Contract after 13 weeks probationTraining availableGreat opportunities withing the company for the right candidateJoin us in delivering excellence every day!
