HGV Class 2 Delivery DriverLocation: Sittingbourne, KentSalary: £32,240 per annum (£15.50 per hour) - (reviewed after 6 months, which could increase to £17.50 per hour) + plus absence & performance bonus and monthly food allowanceEmployment type: PermanentWorking hours: Monday to Friday, 6am - 3pm (40 hours a week)Benefits23 days annual leave plus bank holidays. After 4 years, this would increase to 26 days plus bank holidays.

About the roleWe are recruiting for a reliable and professional Class 2 Delivery Driver to join a busy distribution operation supplying construction-related products across the region. This role offers a mix of driving, customer interaction, route planning, and compliance responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a varied and fast-paced working environment. Key ResponsibilitiesComplete approximately 20-30 deliveries per day. 70% lorry driving and 30% van driving.

Use an electronic POD system to manage and record deliveries.

Plan routes effectively to maximise efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Complete all relevant transport and compliance documentation.

Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.

Manage collections and returns as required.

Report directly to the Transport Manager.

Essential RequirementsIdeally you will have a minimum 1 year's HGV Class 2 delivery driving experience. However, if you are an experienced van driver who has just gained their HGV class 2 licence, they would consider this.

Experience using electronic Proof of Delivery (ePOD) systems. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail. A positive, professional attitude.

No more than 6 points on your driving licence.

Desirable

ExperienceWarehouse experience.

Knowledge of construction products, fixings, or building materials.

Experience working within the construction supply sector.
