ASC Support Assistant | Barnet | Immediate StartWe are looking for an enthusiastic ASC Support Assistant to join a high-achieving secondary school in Barnet, which has a specialist provision supporting students with ASC. This is an excellent opportunity for an ASC Support Assistant looking to develop their experience within a dedicated SEND environment. The successful ASC Support Assistant will work closely with students with ASC, providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support throughout the school day. As an ASC Support Assistant, you will be part of a dedicated SEND team committed to helping students thrive academically, socially and personally.

The Role | ASC Support AssistantProvide 1:1 and small-group support for students with ASC.Support learning, communication, social development and independence.

Work closely with teachers, SEND staff and other professionals.

Take initiative and adapt your approach to individual needs.

Build positive relationships and contribute to an inclusive environment. Hours : 8:10am–3:20pm, with an early finish of 1:30pm on Fridays. Punctuality and reliability are essential.

Start : ImmediateDuration : Long-term, initially until the end of the academic yearAbout YouThe school is looking for an ASC Support Assistant with an excellent attitude, strong punctuality and plenty of initiative. You should be proactive, inquisitive and receptive to feedback, with the ability to work effectively in a busy, high-pressure environment. Personality and attitude are incredibly important, as the school is committed to doing the very best for its students.2:1 minimum degree, ideally Psychology or a relevant subject – other degrees considered.

Strong A-Levels, ideally A*–B grades.

Child-centred, tutoring or youth work experience desirable, including informal experience.

Warm, resilient and confident with young people.
