Cooper

We are searching for a Cooper to join our expert team at our famous Dufftown Distillery to be at the core of our whisky-making process, expertly crafting and maintaining oak casks that define the character of our spirits.

You’ll work with time-honoured techniques, ensuring the barrels meet the highest standards of quality, durability, and tradition.

Key responsibilities

• Building, repairing, and maintaining whisky casks using traditional cooperage methods.
• Inspecting barrels to ensure they meet strict quality standards.
• Collaborating with distillery teams to support maturation processes.
• Upholding the craftsmanship and heritage of Scottish cooperage.
• Continuously improving techniques while preserving tradition.

About you

• Experienced and apprentice-trained coopers preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and passion for craftsmanship.
• A hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining precision.
• A deep appreciation for the whisky-making process.
