People Partner

Between £60,000 and £80,000 Per Month

Job description

Are you a people professional looking for an opportunity to make their mark on a world-leading creative organisation? Sadler’s Wells is looking for a People Partner to join our team.

At Sadler’s Wells, our teams highly value their People Partners as an extension of their teams. We are ambitiously building our ways of working to define the roadmap to embed the People Partnering model and achieve truly strategic people partnering. You will be joining a team that is striving to be inclusive, visible, reliable, and focused on supporting talent to thrive.

You will be the People Partner for a diverse portfolio of departments building trusted and influential relationships with leaders and managers. You will gain a deeper understanding of their priorities and help them make fair, confident and impactful people decisions.

Employee relations will be at the heart of your role. You will advise on and manage a varied caseload, including complex or sensitive matters, providing expert guidance with sound judgement, empathy and commercial awareness- helping managers address issues early wherever possible and ensuring formal processes are handled fairly, consistently and with appropriate pace.

This is an exciting time to join us. As our People and Culture operating model develops, you will have the opportunity to influence how we work and help shape the future of the function. While the role will include operational HR delivery, it offers far more than day to day support. You will be instrumental in strengthening foundations, driving improvements, embedding new ways of working and contributing to a transformation that will enable a more strategic partnering approach.

For the right person, this role will help strengthen the foundations, improve our ways of working and offer a unique opportunity to see the visible impact of the transformation you have helped deliver.

The breadth of this role means that no two days are the same. The role will suit someone who thrives on variety and enjoys making a tangible impact. You could be coaching a leader through managing conflict first thing, collaborating on an impactful wellbeing initiative before lunch, and creating a new role with one of your stakeholders before the day ends. Every day brings fresh opportunities to influence, improve and shape the employee experience.

We’re a supportive and hardworking team, working on a variety of projects. Due to the nature of the role, collaboration is key to the success of our plan. The People Partner will usually work 3-4 out of 5 days on one of our three sites with stakeholders and People Team colleagues.

Sadler’s Wells benefits include:

  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Complementary tickets and discounts
  • Enhanced holiday and time off in lieu policy
  • Additional pay for parental and family leave subject to eligibility
  • Death in service benefit

We welcome all applications by 11:59pm GMT on Friday 9th October 2026. Interviews will take place on or around 20th October 2026.

We are committed to building a culturally diverse workforce and actively encourage applicationsfrom Black, Asian and those belonging to ethnic groups that are currently underrepresented within the Arts. Applications from d/Deaf and disabled communities and low socio-economic backgrounds are also welcome.

*As a Disability Confident Committed employer, we offer an interview to disabled candidates if the minimum essential criteria for the role is met (when disability indicated at application stage of the recruitment process).* In some circumstances, such as where we receive a high volume of applications meeting the minimum essential criteria, we may receive more applications than we are reasonably able to interview for any given role. In these circumstances, we will select a fair and proportionate number of disabled candidates who best meet the minimum criteria for the role.

Sadler’s Wells is a PiPA (Parents and Carers in Performing Arts) Charter Partner, striving towards creating a more family friendly working environment.
