HGV Class 1 Driver (Trunking) - Heysham, LancashirePeople Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver (Trunking) to join our well-established client based in Heysham, Lancashire on a full-time ongoing basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering up to £18.50 per hour , ongoing work, and immediate starts available with a leading logistics operation.

This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Duties:

Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Driver are: Completing trunking depot-to-depot deliveriesOperating Category CE vehicles safely and efficientlyCarrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspectionsEnsuring all loads are secure and compliant with transport regulationsAdhering to all road traffic legislation and company proceduresCommunicating effectively with the transport office and customersReporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptlyAssisting with loading and unloading when requiredEssential

Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: A valid UK Category CE Driving LicenceA minimum of six months' Category CE driving experienceA valid Driver CPC Qualification CardA valid Digital Tachograph CardNo more than six penalty points for minor offencesNo DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99 endorsement codesExcellent punctuality and timekeepingA good understanding of UK road traffic legislationStrong communication skillsTraining: One-day paid induction following a successful assessmentIndustry-related trainingOngoing support throughout your assignmentApply: If you are interested in this role, please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
