We are currently looking for an experienced 5-tonne Counterbalance FLT Driver to join our busy operation in Poole.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials, products and goods around the warehouse and yard, while also supporting the wider team with general warehouse and yard duties.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a 5-tonne counterbalance forklift. Loading and unloading vehicles. Moving, loading and positioning materials around the warehouse and yard. Stacking and de-stacking goods safely and efficiently. Loading pallets, materials and products into designated storage areas. Moving goods between the yard, warehouse and production areas. Carrying out daily/pre-use FLT checks and reporting any defects. Ensuring loads are secure, stable and within the truck's rated capacity.

Following site traffic management plans, speed limits and pedestrian controls. Assisting with general warehouse and yard duties when FLT work is quiet. Manual handling of goods where required. Keeping work areas clean, tidy and free from hazards. Completing basic paperwork, delivery/dispatch documentation and stock movements where required. Working closely with warehouse, transport and production teams. Following all company health & safety procedures. Reporting accidents, near misses, damage or unsafe working conditions to management. Carrying out any other reasonable duties required by the business.

Candidate Requirements Previous experience operating a 5-tonne counterbalance forklift. Current/valid counterbalance FLT training and assessment appropriate to the truck being operated. Good understanding of safe load handling and forklift stability. Experience loading and unloading vehicles.
