Trainee HGV Class 1 Driver £13.50 per hour increasing to £18.00 per hour when fully trained | Bicester | Full-timeAre you an experienced 3.5T Driver looking to take the next step in your driving career?

We are currently recruiting for a 3.5T Driver to join a busy removals operation in Bicester , with a genuine opportunity to progress into HGV Class 1 driving .You will initially work as a 3.5T Driver as part of a friendly and hardworking removals team. Following successful completion of your probationary period, the company will put you through your HGV Class 1 training , giving you the opportunity to progress into a fully trained Class 1 Driver.

Pay & Benefits £13.50 per hour starting rateProgressing up to £18.00 per hour once fully trained on HGV Class 145 hours paid per week , although the average working week is around 40 hoursTypical working hours of approximately 07:30 – 16:30HGV Class 1 training provided following successful probationPermanent positionOpportunity for weekend overtimeNight shift opportunities once fully trainedOpportunity for European driving work once fully trainedThe Role As a 3.5T Driver, you will work as part of a removals team, driving to customer locations and assisting with the safe loading, transportation and unloading of furniture and belongings.

The role involves: Driving a 3.5T vehicle safely and responsiblyLoading and unloading furniture and customer belongingsWorking closely with the removals teamEnsuring goods are handled carefully and securelyDelivering a professional service to customersAssisting with general removals duties as requiredFollowing successful completion of your probationary period, you will have the opportunity to begin your HGV Class 1 training and progress into a Class 1 driving role.

About You

We are looking for someone who: Holds a full UK driving licenceHas experience driving 3.5T vehiclesIs reliable, professional and hardworkingWorks well as part of a teamIs comfortable with the physical nature of removals workHas good customer service skillsIs keen to develop their career and progress into HGV Class 1 drivingPrevious removals experience is beneficial but not essential.
