Class 2 Refuse Driver

£14.75 per hour | £15.75 per hour after 12 weeks | 39 hours paid per week | Tuesday to Friday

Siamo Recruitment are currently recruiting for Class 2 Refuse Drivers / Loaders to join a local council refuse collection team on a long-term basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Class 2 driver who is looking for consistent work, a 4-day working week and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

The benefits:

• Increasing to £15.75 per hour after 12 weeks
• 39 hours paid every week
• Tuesday to Friday – NO weekend working

• If the collection finishes early, you are still paid for your full contracted hours

The role:

You will be working as part of a refuse collection team, operating a Class 2 bin lorry and assisting with residential refuse collections.

The role will involve:

• Driving a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle
• Carrying out residential waste collections
• Working as part of a small team
• Loading and emptying bins
• Following designated collection routes
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Working safely and following council procedures
• Providing a professional and reliable service to local residents

What we are looking for:

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• CPC and Digi Tacho
• Previous Class 2 driving experience
• Reliable and punctual
• Good team player
• Good understanding of health & safety

One of the biggest advantages of this role is that you are paid for the full 39 hours even if the day's collections are completed early — giving you the benefit of a 4-day working week without losing your contracted hours.
