OURCLIENT
Thecharityaimstotrainpeoplewithlearningdisabilitiestobecomeemployableviasupportedinternshipswithinayear.Workisprovidedintheirrecentlybuiltcaféaswellaspaidworkelsewhere,mainlywithinhospitalityandretail.TheirofficeisbasedintheAmershamareaandtheyrunthetrainingcaféinChorleywoodwhichisopenallyear.Theone-yearinternshipsleadtoaccreditedqualificationsforyoungadultswhohaveawiderangeofabilities.
THEROLE
Thisisanexcitingopportunityforsomeonewithexcellentinterpersonal,organisationalandmanagementskillstoprovideinspirationalandstrongleadershiptothemanagement,widerteamsandinterns.Youwilloverseethreemanagerstoensureallaspectsoftheirrolesareachieved.Youwillalsoberesponsibleforallaspectsofthecharityoperationsincludinggovernance,financialreviews,trusteemeetingsandreports.
THEPERSON
Theidealcandidatewillhaveapassionforhelpingothersaswellasatrackrecordofleadingandbuildingteams.Somepreviousexperiencewithinhospitality/catering,morespecificallywithinaneducationalsettingwouldbepreferredbutnotessential.Youwillbeastrategicthinkerwithstrongpeople-skillsandtheabilitytomanagecomplexities.
