Senior Finance Business Partner

Job description

Senior Finance Business Partner

PE-Backed Healthcare Business | London (Hybrid – 3 days in office) | £75,000-£80,000 base

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join a fast-growing, PE‑backed healthcare business at an exciting stage of its journey. This is a pivotal role for someone who wants to sit at the intersection of finance and the commercial business, translating numbers into decisions, and decisions into numbers.

Reporting to the Finance Director and leading a team of two, you’ll be the key commercial representative for finance across the business, trusted by operational and commercial leaders as their go‑to partner for insight, challenge, and support.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as the primary finance point of contact for commercial and operational teams, building strong, credible relationships across the business
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for your business areas, translating performance into clear, actionable insight
  • Partner with commercial leads on pricing, contract terms, and investment decisions, bringing a rigorous, margin‑aware perspective to the table
  • Own reporting and analysis of key commercial and operational KPIs, ensuring leaders have what they need to manage their areas effectively
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of two, building their technical and commercial capability
  • Support the Finance Director on ad hoc strategic projects, business cases, and board‑level reporting
  • Help embed scalable financial processes and controls appropriate to a growing, PE‑backed business

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years PQE gained outside of practice and in a commercial setting.
  • Proven experience in a finance business partnering role, ideally within a PE‑backed or another fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment
  • A confident communicator who can build credibility with non‑finance stakeholders and influence commercial decision‑making
  • Experience managing or developing junior team members
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, commercially relevant narratives
  • Comfortable operating in a business that moves quickly and where processes are still evolving

What’s On Offer

  • Base salary of £75,000-£80,000
  • The opportunity to make a genuine commercial impact in a business backed by private equity and scaling fast
  • A direct line of sight to senior leadership and real influence over business decisions
