Job summary

We areseeking to recruit a qualified practitioner (EMHP/CWP) who is committed to theprinciples of CYP-PT. This role offers an opportunity for the post-holder to furtherprogress their career into a senior practitioner role, extending the clinicalskillset of CWPs and EMHPs by providing specialist training in a broader rangeof presentations. In addition to managing their own caseload, the candidatewill be expected to provide supervision to CWPs and/or EMHPs for low-intensityinterventions following training.

Thepost-holder will work with young people from diverse backgrounds and should becommitted to diversity and ensuring access to services for all.

Applicantswill need to be ready to start work by early January 2027, with trainingcommencing on the 29th. Posts cannot be offered to candidates unlessthey can guarantee this start date.

Main duties of the job

  • Delivering evidence-based interventions to children and young people in education settings as part of early identification and intervention for children and young people with emotional and mental health needs.
  • To provide advice, support and knowledge to children and their families in relation to appropriate resources for their emotional wellbeing needs.
  • To take responsibility for liaising with practice leads and other practitioners in the team to support effective clinical governance, risk and safety protocols and best practice principles to support improvement alongside young-person centred care.
  • To support development and delivery of psychoeducational workshops, webinars and groups for young people, parents/carers and school staff.
  • To develop a coordinated response to children and young peoples mental health needs by working across agencies.
  • Encourage co-production in furthering best practices.
  • Strive for quality assurance in data returns for both qualitative and quantitative service evaluations.
  • Provide supervision to CWPs and/or EMHPs (from the second year of the programme).
