Head of Sales (Sub-Saharan Africa)- London (Job Ref: 26/SMSS) Head of Sales (Medical Diagnostics) Randox Laboratories Ltd are a world leader in diagnostics for clinical healthcare. This opportunity is for a talented Head of Sales to join us, based in London, managing both established and prospective markets across Sub-Saharan Africa. Especially if your experience is in the Diagnostic industry. Location:Onsite, London, UK (Boston House, W1T 6EY)- Regular travel to Sub-Saharan African countries will be required. Contract Offered:Full-time, Permanent Working Hours / Shifts:40 hours per week. What does this role involve? This role will focus on driving our market expansion plans in Sub-Saharan Africa, while also delivering across our existing sales targets via effective distributor management. The successful candidate will also build and manage a high performing sales team, with the expectation of coaching and regular customer visits with your team.
- Developing and implement market expansions for a diverse product portfolio to increase sales.
- Negotiating with senior stakeholders and implementing growth strategies.
- Direct management of a sales team: Sales Executives, Tele Sales, Sales Support etc
- Recruit, train and develop the Sales team to exceptional Sales/Business Development Executives and Team Leads.
- Management of key accounts and distributors.
- Accurately forecast and deliver on monthly/quarterly sales revenue targets.
- Liaising with other internal departments such as Logistics, Marketing, Finance, QA etc
- Attend industry specific seminars and exhibitions as required.
- Regular travel to visit customers (30% travel)
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience, including 2-3 years managing commercial teams.
- Relevant industry experience would be ideal (Medical Diagnostics, Life Science, Biotech) but not essential.
- Proven track record of leading and growing commercial teams in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Someone who can implement best practices to foster and lead internal partnerships with the focus on customers.
- Skilled in managing and coaching through the full sales cycle.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Life Science degree or medical sales background.
- Face to Face/Field based sales experience.
- Stable work history showing progression.

Essential criteria:
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience, including 2-3 years managing commercial teams.
- Relevant industry experience would be ideal (Medical Diagnostics, Life Science, Biotech) but not essential.
- Proven track record of leading and growing commercial teams in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Distributor management experience.
- Someone who can implement best practices to foster and lead internal partnerships with the focus on customers.
- Skilled in managing and coaching through the full sales cycle.
- Bachelor's degree
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
- Life Science degree or medical sales background.
- Face to Face/Field based sales experience.
- Stable work history showing progression.
