What you will do:
- Conduct complex Occupational Therapy assessments within Adult Social Care.
- Manage challenging cases, ensuring each plan is tailored to individual needs.
- Lead on conducting risk assessments and developing risk management plans.
- Assess and recommend specialist equipment, moving and handling solutions, and housing adaptations, including Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) works.
- Provide professional supervision and mentorship to both Occupational Therapists and support staff.
- Support service development and engage in quality improvement projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies to deliver comprehensive care solutions.
Requirements:
- A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration are essential.
- Proven experience in Adult Social Care and community-based Occupational Therapy.
- Proficient in managing complex cases with a strong foundation in safeguarding and risk management.
- Competent in providing equipment, conducting moving and handling assessments, and making housing adaptations.
- Strong supervisory, mentoring, and leadership skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and relevant Occupational Therapy legislation.
