Pay: £14.25 - £16.65 per hour (PAYE or umbrella)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Teaching Assistant - Year 5 | Upper Key Stage 2 | SEND Support

Reeson Education is delighted to be recruiting for an exceptional Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the M7 area ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to become a valued member of a Year 5 team, supporting pupils during an important year of their primary education.

The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely alongside the class teacher, providing high-quality classroom support while also delivering targeted interventions and supporting pupils with additional learning needs. This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant who thrives in Upper Key Stage 2 and is passionate about helping every child achieve their full potential.

This is a full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant position for the right person.

The Role of the Teaching Assistant

As the successful Teaching Assistant , you will:

Support teaching and learning within a busy and engaging Year 5 classroom.

Deliver targeted interventions in English and Maths to small groups and individual pupils.

Provide classroom support to ensure every child can access learning and reach their potential.

Support pupils with SEND, adapting learning where appropriate and encouraging independence.

Build positive relationships with pupils, helping to develop confidence, resilience and self-belief.

Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources and assessment activities.

Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff and parents to support pupil progress.
