The Role

As a Graduate Town Planner, you’ll support the team in delivering planning advice and managing projects across a varied portfolio of developments. You’ll gain exposure to all stages of the planning process while building the skills needed to progress your career within consultancy.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications.

  • Preparing planning statements, reports and supporting documentation.
  • Liaising with local planning authorities, clients and other consultants.
  • Monitoring planning applications and keeping up to date with relevant policy changes.
  • Supporting senior colleagues on a range of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects.

About You

We’re keen to speak with enthusiastic graduates who are passionate about the built environment and keen to develop a career in planning consultancy.

You’ll ideally have:

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline, ideally with an RTPI-accredited qualification.
  • A genuine interest in planning policy, development and the built environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

What’s on Offer?

  • A competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Valuable hands-on experience across a range of planning projects.
  • Support from experienced planners and opportunities for professional development.
  • Assistance towards RTPI membership and chartership, where applicable.
  • A clear opportunity to build a long-term career within planning consultancy.

Interested?

If you’re a recent graduate looking to take your first step into planning consultancy, I’d love to hear from you.
