Salary: £95 - £115 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School in Coventry, supporting students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The school is looking for a dedicated and adaptable SEND Teaching Assistant who can help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students with additional needs feel supported and encouraged to achieve their potential.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Teaching Assistant for part-time, day-to-day work starting immediately. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism / ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties where required, working alongside teaching staff to adapt learning activities, manage behaviour positively and encourage student engagement and independence.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable

Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities / SEND

Experience working with secondary-aged students across KS3 and KS4

An understanding of additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties

Strong behaviour management and communication skills

A patient, resilient and adaptable approach to supporting students with individual learning needs
