# HGV Class 2 Driver – Waste & Environmental Services
Location: Kirklees, West Yorkshire Pay: £14.14 per hour PAYE Working Pattern: Flexible shifts, including some bank holidays
### About the Role
LYNX Employment Services are recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to support waste collection and environmental services across Kirklees.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining professional driving, waste collection and team support, helping to keep local communities clean and safe.
### Key Responsibilities
Drive HGV Class 2 refuse vehicles, mechanical sweepers and other specialist vehicles.
Collect household and commercial waste, including skips.
Complete vehicle safety checks, driving records and defect reports.
Support collection crews with loading and cleansing duties.
Follow planned routes and operate lifting equipment safely.
Guide colleagues and maintain safe working practices.
Report operational issues and maintain high service standards.
### Essential Requirements
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence and Driver CPC . Banksman training. Good knowledge of vehicle safety and health and safety procedures. Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather. Good communication, teamwork and basic IT skills. Flexibility to work some bank holidays. ### What You'll Get
