Year 6 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Support

Location: Willesden Green, North West London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: £90-£110 per day, PAYE

SANZA Teaching Agency are delighted to recruit a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil on a 1:1 basis at a primary school in Willesden Green.

Strong behaviour management skills are essential. The school needs someone who can build a positive relationship with the pupil while maintaining clear boundaries and providing calm, consistent support.

The Role

Provide 1:1 support in lessons and throughout the school day.

Use effective behaviour strategies to support engagement and participation.

Help the pupil manage emotions, develop confidence and access learning.

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO.

The Ideal Candidate

Experience supporting primary-aged children with challenging behaviour.

Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

A patient, resilient and consistent approach.

The ability to build trust while maintaining firm, fair boundaries.

Previous 1:1 or SEMH experience is desirable.
