Teaching Assistant - Temp-to-Perm Opportunity - Aylesbury

Are you a passionate and resilient Teaching Assistant in Aylesbury looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people?

Academics are working with a specialist education setting in Aylesbury that supports pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, autism and additional learning needs. We are looking for dedicated individuals who can help create a safe, structured and supportive environment where pupils can develop academically, socially and emotionally.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant in Aylesbury to secure a long-term position with the potential to become permanent through a temp-to-perm arrangement.

The Role

Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEMH and autism.

Building positive relationships and encouraging engagement in learning.

Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independence.

Working closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver personalised support.

Helping maintain a consistent, calm and nurturing learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.

A patient, resilient and adaptable approach.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

A genuine commitment to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.

A relevant background in education, care, youth work or support work would be beneficial.
