Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Support

Pay: £90-£105 per day

A specialist school in Reading is looking for a dedicated Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils who face barriers to learning and require additional guidance throughout the school day. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates interested in behaviour, mental health and child development.

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant , you will help pupils develop positive behaviours, manage emotions and engage with education, working closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored assistance.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs.

Build positive relationships that encourage trust, confidence and engagement.

Help pupils develop emotional regulation and positive coping strategies.

Support classroom learning and encourage participation in activities.

Recognise when pupils need additional assistance and communicate concerns to staff.

Contribute to a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.

The successful Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant will be empathetic, resilient and adaptable, with a genuine interest in supporting children's development. Experience in tutoring, mentoring, education or care would be advantageous, although a willingness to learn is equally important.
