Temporary Senior AML Lawyer

Top global law firm is seeking a Senior AML Lawyer to join its Risk & Compliance team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for a Senior Lawyer with strong financial crime and anti-money laundering (AML) expertise, particularly in KYC and escalation management, who can provide senior-level support on complex AML matters.

What’s On Offer:

• Salary in the region of £130,000 per annum, pro rata
• Temporary assignment to start ASAP, until the end of March 2027
• Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days remote)

Temporary Senior AML Lawyer – What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provide senior-level support to the Risk & Compliance team across a range of financial crime and AML matters
• Manage KYC escalations, assessing issues and determining appropriate next steps
• Provide senior-level guidance and support on complex financial crime and AML matters
• Review and assess escalated KYC issues, ensuring potential risks are identified and appropriately addressed
• Work closely with colleagues across the firm to support the effective management of AML and financial crime risks
• Help maintain high standards of AML compliance and financial crime risk management across the firm

Temporary Senior AML Lawyer – What We’re Looking For:

• Ideally 10+ years’ PQE with substantial experience in financial crime and AML within a City law firm
• Strong financial crime and AML expertise, particularly in KYC and escalation management
• Proven ability to handle KYC escalations and provide senior-level support on complex AML matters
• Strong analytical skills, sound commercial judgement and the ability to assess risk and provide clear, practical advice
• Available to start at short notice and commit to a temporary assignment until the end of March 2027
