Class 2 Driver Jobs – Trafford Park, Manchester – £16.00 Per Hour Pay: £16.00 per hour (£17.93 including holiday pay) Job Type: Temporary, Ongoing Work with Temp-to-Perm Opportunities Location: Trafford Park, Manchester Working Hours: Monday to Friday, starting at approximately 7:00 am Job Description Class 2 HGV Drivers Required – Trafford Park, Manchester Specialist Recruitment Solutions (SRS) is currently recruiting Class 2 HGV Drivers in Trafford Park, Manchester , for a fantastic opportunity with an established transport and logistics client.

We are looking for reliable and motivated Category C drivers for ongoing work on local pallet network contracts. Our client is also offering temp-to-perm opportunities , providing the potential for long-term, permanent employment. This position could be ideal for newly qualified Class 2 drivers with some driving experience, experienced HGV drivers looking for a new opportunity, or drivers with previous home delivery experience who are looking to move into pallet network work.

The Class 2 Driver Role As a Class 2 Driver, your duties will include: Driving a Class 2, Category C, curtain-sided HGV. Completing local deliveries and collections across the Manchester area. Delivering and collecting palletised freight on pallet network contracts. Completing around 16 deliveries per day, plus additional collections. Carrying out double runs as required. Using electric pump trucks supplied on all vehicles.

Completing shifts of around 11 hours, with start times around 7:00 am. The work is Monday to Friday, offering regular weekday hours and ongoing opportunities. Class 2 Driver Pay and Benefits £16.00 per hour basic pay. £17.93 per hour including holiday pay. Monday to Friday working. Ongoing Class 2 driving work. Temp-to-perm opportunities with our client. Local driving work around Manchester. Electric pump trucks provided on all vehicles. Potential future progression to Class 1 HGV driving.

Class 2 Driver Requirements To be considered for this Class 2 HGV Driver vacancy, you must have: A valid Category C / Class 2 driving licence held for at least 3 months. Some previous HGV driving experience, ideally on Class 2 curtain-sided vehicles. A valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card. A valid digital tachograph card. No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence. No DD, DR or CD endorsement codes, as these are not accepted by our client. A reliable, professional approach to driving and customer service.

Newly passed Class 2 drivers are welcome to apply , provided you have some relevant driving experience. Previous home delivery or curtain-sided vehicle experience would be particularly beneficial.
