Drivers Mate – Coatbridge – Morning & Back Shifts
People Solutions are currently recruiting for Drivers Mates to join our well-established furniture distribution client based in Coatbridge .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering Monday to Friday work, weekly pay, morning and back shift opportunities and the chance to work within a busy furniture delivery operation.
£12.71 Per Hour | Monday to Friday | Morning & Back Shifts | Weekly Pay | Training Provided
This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as a Drivers Mate, Driver's Mate, Furniture Delivery Assistant, Removals Porter, Delivery Porter or Warehouse Operative.
Shifts

• Monday to Friday
• Morning Shift: 06:00 start
• Back Shift: Starts between 12:00 and 13:30
• Finish times vary depending on delivery schedules

Rates of Pay

• £12.71 per hour
• Weekly pay

Day-to-Day Duties
As a Drivers Mate, your duties will include:

• Assisting drivers with furniture deliveries
• Loading and unloading heavy furniture
• Carrying large and bulky items as part of a two-person team
• Moving furniture safely into delivery locations
• Providing excellent customer service
• Following manual handling and health and safety procedures

Essential Skills
To be successful as a Drivers Mate, you will need:

• Physically capable of regular heavy lifting and manual handling
• Comfortable handling large and bulky furniture items
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Reliable with excellent timekeeping
• Flexibility with finish times depending on delivery schedules
• Ability to travel reliably to Coatbridge

Desirable Experience
• Previous experience as a Drivers Mate, Furniture Delivery Assistant or Removals Porter
Training Provided

• Site induction
• Manual handling training
• Ongoing support from People Solutions
