Driver Hire Manchester North & Oldham are part of a nationwide network of over 100 offices providing recruitment services to the transport and logistics industry.
We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for our client based in Rochdale. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for reliable, professional drivers looking for a long-term position.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to become permanent employees of our client after 12 weeks, subject to satisfactory performance and the client's requirements.

Key Role Details
Position: HGV Class 2 Driver
Location: Rochdale – applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance
Contract: Temp-to-perm, with the opportunity to become permanent after 12 weeks
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Start Times: Variable, with starts as early as 3:00–4:00 am
Nights Out: Up to 2 nights per week
Night-Out Allowance: £25 per night out
Pay Frequency: Weekly pay while employed by Driver Hire
Guaranteed Hours: 8 hours per working day while employed by Driver Hire

The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering high-value items safely and securely.
Undertaking heavy lifting as part of the delivery process.
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with safety requirements.
Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
Planning and navigating routes efficiently.
Providing a polite and professional service to customers.
Representing our client positively at all times.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
Have previous HGV Class 2 driving experience.
Hold a valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
