Graduate Sales Executive

Job description

Love sport, enjoy talking to people and think you'd be good at sales? Love sport, enjoy talking to people and think you'd be good at sales?

We're working with an ambitious fitness business that's bringing a fresh approach to boxing and strength training, with big plans to grow across the UK.

Think high-energy workouts, great coaches and a proper community feel. It's a young business with a startup mentality, backed by entrepreneurs who've built and sold successful companies.

They're now looking for their first junior sales hire to help grow membership numbers across their London gyms.

No previous sales experience needed. If you're confident, competitive, enjoy meeting people and aren't afraid to pick up the phone, this could be a brilliant first job.

What you'll be doing

You'll join a small commercial team, working closely with experienced salespeople and the people running the business.

Your job is pretty straightforward: speak to people who've already shown an interest in joining the gyms and help turn that interest into a membership. Some will have visited for a trial session. Others will have made an enquiry online. You'll be following up, having conversations, answering questions and hopefully getting them signed up.

No cold calling. You'll be speaking to people who've already expressed an interest.

You'll be:

Calling prospective members who've enquired or attended a trial session

Building rapport, understanding what they're looking for and helping them decide whether to join

Following a sales script, with plenty of training and support

Handling questions and objections, and learning how to close a sale

Keeping track of conversations and following up with potential members

Working towards sales targets, with commission for every new member you sign up

Spending time at different gyms, getting to know the teams and the product you're selling

Who we're looking for

We're much more interested in your personality than your CV.

Maybe you've just graduated and played team sports at university. Perhaps you've worked in hospitality or retail and discovered you're pretty good at talking to people. Or maybe you've always fancied trying sales but haven't had the opportunity yet.

Ideally, you'll be:
