Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant / Year 4 TA / SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Stockbridge Village, Knowsley, Merseyside (L28 / L36 - accessible from Huyton, Page Moss, Knotty Ash, West Derby, Croxteth & Liverpool)

Position Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only (Long Term / Ongoing Contract)

Salary/Rate: Competitive (Daily Rate)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

About the Role

A welcoming primary school in Stockbridge Village, Knowsley is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA / LSA) for a full-time role in Year 4 (Y4 / KS2) .

This versatile position offers a blended classroom experience:

General Classroom Support: Assisting the Class Teacher with group work, core subjects (Maths, English, Reading), and overall classroom management in Year 4.

1:1 SEN Support: Providing targeted one-to-one assistance for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN / SEND) and Additional Learning Needs (ALN) , including ADHD , ASD (Autism) , and general learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver small-group interventions and 1 to 1 TA assistance aligned with the KS2 Primary National Curriculum .

Support pupils with SEN / SEND , implementing strategies for focus, emotional regulation, and behaviour management.

Differentiate learning tasks for Year 4 pupils to build confidence in English, Maths, and wider curriculum subjects.

Work collaboratively as a Classroom Assistant alongside the Class Teacher, SENCO, and external educational specialists.

Maintain a calm, structured, and encouraging classroom environment to keep pupils engaged.

Essential Criteria

KS2 Experience: Direct experience as a Primary Teaching Assistant / TA in Key Stage 2 (KS2 Support) .
