Car driver essential for this role due to remote location

42.5 hours per week, 1.5 weekends off per month

About the role

A small boutique hotel is looking for an experienced and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join its kitchen team. Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll help prepare seasonal dishes, support smooth kitchen operations and contribute to a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard

Support the Head Chef with menu planning and daily kitchen operations

Help lead and support the kitchen team during service

Maintain a clean, organised kitchen and follow food safety standards

Assist with stock control, deliveries and reducing food waste

Requirements

Experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role

A full driving licence is essential

Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety

A positive, reliable approach and the ability to stay calm during busy service

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Interest in seasonal ingredients and quality cooking
