Class 1 HGV Driver – Normanton – Temp to Perm Location: Normanton Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour Hours: Approximately 11–12 hours per shift Start Time: Around 08:30–09:00 for preloaded runs Job Type: Temp to Perm Work: Nationwide Deliveries ABOUT THE ROLE Recruit A Driver is recruiting an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver for a temp-to-perm opportunity with a well-established client based in Normanton. The role involves transporting worktop surfaces to customer sites nationwide using curtain-side trailers. Deliveries include sites in Newbury, Thurrock, Bury St Edmunds and Worcester. Some runs are preloaded, while others involve nights out and loading the vehicle yourself. Overnight parking is paid through a Snap account.

THE ROLE

Drive a Class 1 vehicle with a curtain-side trailer Transport worktop surfaces secured on A-frames Complete deliveries to customer sites across the UK Load the vehicle when required Complete occasional overnight trips Ensure loads are secure and transported safely Complete vehicle checks and delivery paperwork REQUIREMENTS Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence Ideally 2 years' Class 1 driving experience Ideally aged 25 or over for insurance purposes Ideally fewer than 6 penalty points Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach Willingness to undertake nights out and loading duties when required The client may consider some flexibility with the requirements for the right candidate.
