Teaching Assistant

Annual Salary: £14.63 per hour

Location: Rural Lancaster

Job Type: Part-time (Mornings Only)

We are seeking one or two Teaching Assistants to join a vibrant school in rural Lancaster. This role involves working in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Year 6, with a specific focus on providing maths specialist input for Year 6. The position is ideal for candidates who are looking for a part-time opportunity with morning hours.

Day-to-day of the role:

Support the educational needs of children in EYFS and Year 6.

Provide specialist maths support to Year 6 students, helping to enhance their understanding and performance in the subject.

Assist with the preparation and delivery of learning activities.

Monitor and support the progress of children, ensuring their safety and providing help with their educational and social development.

Collaborate with teachers to plan and coordinate educational activities.

Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in a teaching assistant role or similar educational position.

Strong knowledge of primary school curriculum, particularly in maths.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

A passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their potential
