Counterbalance FLT Driver

Job description

JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Counterbalance FLT Drivers for a large distribution site based in North Ferriby, HU14

Key Responsibilities

Operate a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently.
Load and unload vehicles, trailers, and containers.
Transport pallets, cages, and stock throughout the warehouse.
Put away goods into designated storage locations.
Replenish picking locations as required.
Conduct pre-use equipment checks and report defects.
Accurately complete warehouse paperwork and scan stock using handheld devices.
Support goods-in, goods-out, and inventory operations.
Follow all health and safety procedures and site rules.
Maintain good housekeeping standards within work areas.

Skills and Experience

Previous FLT experience (inhouse licences will be accepted)
Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic IT and scanner usage skills.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

Comply with Amazon and contractor safety procedures.
Wear required PPE at all times.
Carry out daily forklift safety inspections.
Report accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.
Follow safe loading, unloading, and traffic management procedures.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work standing for extended periods.
Frequent lifting and handling of goods where required.
Working in a large warehouse environment.

Safety compliance.
Productivity and throughput targets.
Accuracy of stock movements.
Attendance and punctuality.
Equipment care and maintenance reporting.

We have the following shift patterns available:
7am-7pm 4 on 4 off Days - £13.90 per hour
7pm-7am 4 on 4 off Nights - £14.50 per hour
Ongoing work leading to permanent for the right candidates
Candidates must be able to pass a DBS check
