SEN Teaching Assistant - South East London

Remedy Education | £100-£117 per day

Remedy Education is looking for caring, enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work across schools in South East London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop their confidence and independence.

The Role

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.

Assist teachers with classroom activities and personalised learning.

Support pupils with additional needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD and SEMH.

Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement.

Adapt support to meet individual learning and developmental needs.

Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.

The Ideal Candidate

Have experience supporting children or young people with SEN.

Be patient, understanding and adaptable.

Have strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Be confident supporting pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs.

Be able to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations.

Be reliable, proactive and committed to safeguarding.

Previous experience in a specialist SEN setting would be advantageous.
