Year 1 Teaching Assistant - Lancaster

Location: Small Lancaster School

Salary: £15.07 per hour

Job Type: 25 hours per week (Flexible hours)

We are seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teaching Assistant for an immediate start at a charming rural school in Lancaster. This role involves working on a 1:2:1 basis, providing academic support to a pupil in Year 1. This position is ideal for someone who values educational development and is looking for flexible working hours to accommodate family life.

Day-to-day of the role:

Provide targeted academic support to a Year 1 pupil, working closely on a 1:2:1 basis.

Engage with educational activities that enhance the pupil's learning experience.

Collaborate with teachers and staff to tailor educational approaches to the pupil's needs.

Monitor and report on the pupil's progress to teachers and parents.

Assist in creating a supportive and effective learning environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role in an educational setting.

Strong understanding of the educational needs of young children.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
