HGV Class 1 Night Trunking Driver – Coventry – £19.05 Per Hour PAYE- Monday to Friday – No Handball REGULAR NIGHT WORK | ALL BAY DELIVERIES | NO HANDBALL | WEEKLY PAY
Description Millison Chase Limited is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 C+E Night Drivers for regular ongoing night trunking work based in Coventry, West Midlands .
This is an excellent opportunity for professional Class 1 drivers looking for straightforward night driving work without the physical demands of multidrop distribution.
The role involves transporting palletised and general freight between regional distribution centres (RDCs), national distribution centres (NDCs), warehouses and logistics hubs .
All deliveries and collections are bay-to-bay, with absolutely no handball required.
Drivers will complete scheduled trunking routes, ensuring freight is delivered safely and efficiently between distribution hubs.
All drivers are paid directly through Millison Chase Limited's in-house PAYE payroll. No umbrella companies are used.
Pay & Progression £17.00 per hour PAYE with holiday pay accrued separately

OR £19.05 per hour PAYE including 12.07% rolled-up holiday pay

Weekly in-house PAYE

Regular ongoing night work

No handball

All bay-to-bay deliveries

Drivers can choose whether to have their holiday pay accrued separately or rolled into their hourly rate.
Responsibilities Drive HGV Class 1 C+E articulated vehicles

Complete scheduled night trunking routes

Transport palletised and general freight

Deliver and collect from RDCs, NDCs and logistics hubs

Complete bay-to-bay deliveries and collections

Work to allocated collection and delivery booking times

Ensure loads are correctly secured

Complete daily vehicle and trailer safety checks

Complete delivery paperwork and proof of delivery

Follow Drivers' Hours, Working Time and Tachograph regulations

Maintain professional standards when representing the client

No handball, no traditional multidrop deliveries and no manual unloading.

Requirements Valid HGV Class 1 C+E Licence

Valid Driver CPC

Valid Digital Tachograph Card

Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred

Trunking or distribution centre experience advantageous

Comfortable working night shifts

Good understanding of load security

Comfortable with RDC and NDC procedures

Reliable, punctual and professional

Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Tachograph regulations
