Job Details- Location: Red Kite School, Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire, HP27 0JW
- Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8am - 4pm
- Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
- Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
- Start Date: November 2026
- Eligibility: UK applicants only – no sponsorship available
We are on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our specialist education team. This is a rewarding opportunity to inspire a love of music, creativity, and self-expression while delivering engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of our students.
In this role, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons that inspire and motivate students.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress and achievement.
- Contribute to individual education and behaviour plans to support student development.
- Create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, families, and wider professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Support the wider school community and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
- Promote the wellbeing, safeguarding, and personal development of every student.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds a recognised teaching qualification and QTS or equivalent.
- Has experience planning and delivering high-quality lessons.
- Is passionate about Music and inspiring young people through creative learning.
- Can effectively differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
- Possesses strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
- Has experience with children in an education setting; SEN experience is a plus.
- Remains calm, resilient, and adaptable when supporting students with additional needs.
Red Kite School is an independent special school for up to 60 young people aged 11–18 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Opened in September 2024, our school is located in the beautiful market town of Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire.
We provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where every young person is understood, valued, and encouraged to thrive. Our experienced team creates a calm, structured environment where students build confidence and resilience through personalised learning and strong relationships.
