Job Details

• Location: Red Kite School, Princes Risborough, HP27 0JW
• Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday–Friday
• Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
• Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
• Start Date: January 2027
• Eligibility: UK applicants only – no sponsorship available

As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver engaging, personalized learning experiences that empower students to overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. Your classroom will be a safe, nurturing, and inspiring space where every student feels understood and valued.

Every day will present new challenges and opportunities to make a lasting impact on students' lives. You will work closely with colleagues, families, and other professionals to shape positive outcomes for our students.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with students.
• Adapt teaching strategies to remove barriers to learning and promote success.
• Track progress, celebrate achievements, and support students in reaching their goals.
• Contribute to personalized learning plans and individual support strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for students.

What You’ll Bring

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
• A passion for supporting students with additional needs.
• Creativity, adaptability, and a commitment to inclusive education.
• Patience, resilience, and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with SEN, Autism, or SEMH is desirable but not essential.

Red Kite School is an independent special school for up to 60 young people aged 11–18 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Located in the beautiful market town of Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire, we provide a safe and supportive environment where every young person is understood and encouraged to thrive.

Our experienced team fosters a calm, structured environment where students build confidence and resilience through personalized learning and strong relationships. Our curriculum focuses on developing the knowledge, emotional resilience, social communication, and life skills students need to succeed in education and beyond.
