Graduate Teaching Assistant - Lewisham - ASAP start

Remedy is working closely with this welcoming SEN school in Greenwich to appoint a passionate Graduate Teaching Assistant who can provide academic and pastoral support across the primary age range. A thriving and high-achieving primary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team starting Monday 2nd November.

Location: Lewisham, South East London
Salary: £100 - £117 per day
Start Date: ASAP start
Contract: Full academic year, Monday to Friday, term-time only

The Opportunity

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support class teachers in delivering engaging lessons, help pupils achieve their learning goals, and contribute to a positive classroom environment. You will work with individuals and small groups, helping children build confidence and make progress across the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

Support teaching and learning across the primary curriculum

Deliver focused intervention sessions in literacy and numeracy

Assist pupils with varying learning needs, including SEND

Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff

The successful Graduate Teaching Assistant will have:

A degree in any subject area

A strong interest in education and child development

Excellent communication and organisational skills

The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

Previous experience working with children (preferred but not essential)
