Exciting Opportunity: New Home Opening

Location: Chedzoy, Somerset

Salary: £42,717.17 per year, with potential earnings up to £50,017.17 through bonuses

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Specific Hours: 40 hours per week

Your Role

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead our brand new service in Chedzoy, Somerset. In this role, you will:

• Manage a 4-bedded children's home in a serene rural setting.
• Oversee a dedicated staff team of 9, ensuring high-quality care and enriching living experiences for our young residents.
• Handle the smooth and efficient administration of the home, taking on wider operational tasks as needed.
• Produce, update, and monitor plans and reports, demonstrating an organized and flexible managerial approach.
• Lead, motivate, and develop your staff within an open and enthusiastic culture, including delivering training.
• Represent the company professionally to outside agencies and within the local community, contributing to our ongoing development.

About You

We are seeking someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people. You should:

• Be committed to high standards of professional practice with a positive, non-judgmental attitude.
• Have a thorough understanding of Children's Home legislation and Ofsted inspection requirements.
• Possess a recognized social work qualification (e.g., QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Children and Young People).
• Have at least 2 years of relevant experience in residential care, including 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Hold a valid driving license for a manual car and have access to your own vehicle with business insurance.
• Be available for on-call duties (approximately 2 per month).

• Ofsted Report Bonuses: £500 for a good report, £1000 for an outstanding report.
• Non-contributory pension with a 9% employer contribution and company sick pay after 6 months of probation.
• On-call payments: £10 per day Monday to Friday, and £50 for weekends.
• Enhanced sick pay: 5 days of full sick pay.
