Job description

Are you a Black heritage student or recent graduate looking to grow your career in data science, health research, artificial intelligence, statistics, computer science, public health, or related disciplines?

As a Health Data Science Intern, you will contribute to research and analysis using health data. You will help develop approaches that influence how health and care are provided. Depending on your placement, areas you may be involved in are:

Support health data science research projects.

Analyse and interpret healthcare datasets.

Assist with statistical modelling and data visualisation.

Contribute to artificial intelligence and machine learning projects.

Help communicate research findings to diverse audiences.

Attend workshops, networking events, and career development sessions.

Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

The Health Data Science Black Internship Programme offers paid summer internships designed to increase Black representation within health data science and create pathways for Black heritage students and recent graduates into research and innovation careers.

The 2027 Black Internship programme will run for 8-weeks during summer, between 28 June – 20 August 2027.
